For Athena Diamond, design has never simply been a profession—it has always been a way of life.
Her creative journey began at the age of thirteen, when she first learned to sew. What started as a curiosity quickly became a passion as she began designing and creating her own garments. Long before fashion became her career, it had already become her language.
Entrepreneurship came just as naturally. Rather than following someone else's path, Athena was determined to create her own. At just seventeen years old, she launched her first business, a landscaping company. After spending four years living in Europe, she returned to the United States with an even greater appreciation for art, culture, and timeless design.
At twenty-two, Athena opened and successfully operated a tanning salon, nail salon, and boutique for more than a decade, offering carefully selected swimwear, apparel, and beauty products. The experience deepened her understanding of retail, customer service, and the importance of creating memorable experiences for every client.
After studying fashion and retail, Athena fulfilled a lifelong dream by launching Athena Diamond in 1998—a brand built upon elegance, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.
Her inspiration reaches far beyond fashion.
Growing up, Athena spent every summer in Greece, where her family owned olive groves in the historic Lakonia region of Sparta. Those summers instilled a profound appreciation for Greek heritage, tradition, and the artistry of producing authentic extra virgin olive oil. What began as childhood memories among centuries-old olive trees eventually inspired the creation of Athena Diamond Gourmet, bringing together family heritage, exceptional ingredients, and thoughtful presentation.
Today, Athena Diamond is a lifestyle brand that reflects every chapter of that journey.
